  1. Clinical Genitourinary Cancer is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal that publishes original articles describing various aspects of clinical and translational research of prostate, urinary, and renal cancers.
  2. Clinical Genitourinary Cancer is devoted to articles on detection, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of prostate, urinary, and renal cancers. The main emphasis is on recent scientific developments in all areas related to these cancers.
  3. Specific areas of interest include clinical research and mechanistic approaches; drug sensitivity and resistance; gene and antisense therapy; pathology, markers, and prognostic indicators; chemoprevention strategies; multimodality therapy; and integration of various approaches.

Clinical Genitourinary Cancer was previously published as Clinical Prostate Cancer through September 2005.

Oliver Sartor

Dr Bukowski was the director of the experimental therapeutics program of the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center and a professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University up and until his retirement in 2008. He is an international opinion leader in the biology and therapy of renal cell carcinoma, and the medical director of the Kidney Cancer Association. Dr Bukowski is now an independent consultant and member of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr Bukowski attended Northwestern University School of Medicine, and completed his training in internal medicine and medical oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr Sartor is the Piltz Professor of Cancer Research in the Departments of Medicine and Urology at Tulane University School of Medicine. He is a medical oncologist with an interest in prostate cancer from both a basic and clinical perspective. He is also the current medical oncology chair of the Radiation Oncology Treatment Group Genitourinary Cancer Committee. Dr Sartor's current research interests include clinical trials in advanced prostate cancer with novel agents and novel combinations of agents.

Dr Sartor earning his medical degree at Tulane University. Sartor later did a fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
