CIG Media Group Announces the Appointment of Stephen Close as Senior Manager, Advertising Sales

CIG Media Group welcomes Stephen Close as the Senior Manager, Advertising Sales, for its portfolio of tumor-specific clinical oncology journals. Close joins CIG with more than 15 years of sales experience in the medical space, including five years in oncology. Most recently, Close worked at Elsevier as a National Account Manager, where he was responsible for ad sales for a collection of print and online publications from the American Association of Thoracic Surgery, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Directors Association.
Close began his career with SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals as a detail representative. Subsequently, prior to his position at Elsevier, Steve was National Account Manager for Pharmaceutical Media, an independent representation firm, where he achieved consistent yearly ad sales growth for Oncology Times and assisted in the launch of Neurology Today.
